About
Hi, I’m Shmulik.
AI engineer at Apiiro, security researcher, and author of AI Superhero.
AI engineering and security.
I’m an AI engineer at Apiiro, working at the intersection of AI agents and application security. I also investigate vulnerabilities, build open-source tools, and write about what I learn.
My projects range from finding tests that can never fail to visualizing agent skills and exploring Hebrew word embeddings.
I live in Israel with my wife, Michal.

Writing and speaking.
I write AI Superhero, host Prompt and a Half, a Hebrew podcast, and give technical talks. Audio and video entries identify the spoken language.
Background.
Before Apiiro, I spent six years in Unit 8200, working on backend systems, GPU migrations, and integrating open-source LLMs in air-gapped environments. I’m pursuing an M.Sc. in Computer Science at Tel Aviv University, focusing on AI and formal methods. I completed my B.Sc. at the Open University while in high school.
Coverage.
Independent reporting and interviews include Geektime’s profile of Israeli Claude Code, BleepingComputer’s coverage of Apiiro’s FakeGit research, and Digital Craft Workshop’s interview about my work.
Let’s talk.
